My husband bought me my Corvette for my 40th birthday in 1989 and I drove it on the street for almost 20 years before I decided to try my hand at drag racing in 2008.  

I had a very good first year and won the NETO Nostalgia Championship for 2008. 

In 2009, with a little more experience, I was able to win the Championship in the Nostalgia Class for the second year in a row.  This gave me a great feeling of accomplishment! 

I had been involved in Drag Racing as a crew person on Alan Banome's Alcohol Dragster for a number of years, but had never raced down the track before this.
